Story in a nutshell:

The story revolves mainly around 2 characters - Sarfaraz and Meghna. The Colour of Love is their love story. As the name of the characters tell you, Sarfaraz is a Muslim guy and Meghna a Hindu girl. They meet during their college days and become best buddies. How and when does this friendship blossom into love? Does their family accept this alliance? Do Sarfaraz and Meghna end up together and have a happy end?

Review:

The story is that of college romance and I was sceptical about reading it. Will this be a good read? I thought. Now a days, I have developed an aversion for college romances. But The Colour of Love doesn't belong to that category. I must say I enjoyed reading every page of this book.

The narration is lucid and simple. Readers will instantly connect with the characters. The characters have been developed well. However, I feel that some characters could have been involved more. It was more like a character entered, played his role and left. I feel they deserved some more space. Also, this would have lengthened the story. The flow of the events have been very nicely done. The transition between the present and the past could have been brought out in a better way.

This story proves that no matter what the time is, what the situation is, true love finds its way against all the odds. It teaches you that you cannot force yourself to love someone. Love just happens.

Love has no boundaries. It doesn't care for religion, caste and creed. We mustn't bother about these differences and accept love the way it comes.

The Colour of Love is a perfect book to spend time with on weekends. I am sure you'll have a good read.

I rate:
Cover: 3/5
Characters: 3/5
Story: 3/5

My overall rating for The Colour of Love is 3/5 stars.
