Story in a nutshell-
The Fragrance of Rose is story of a young girl, Rinita. Every girl, at one point of time in her life, dreams of becoming an actress when she grows up. Rinita too dreams of becoming one during hee childhood. A dream becomes a reality when you work towards making it real. Owing to her average performance at academics, Rinita realises that she would not be able to excel in studies way too early. Her friend, Chaitali studies well and secures herself a place in journalism field. Time flies and Rinita gets an offer from Chaital's boss, Arindam. Being average in studies with no qualifications, Rinita realises that it was once in a lifetime opportunity and takes it up. She doesn't realise that the mistake she commits. Over time, Rinita falls in love with Arindam who breaks her heart without a second thought. What does Rinita do to save her heart from breaking? How does Rinita become Rose? Review-
The Fragrance of Rose - the title of the book is beautiful and so is the cover. The cover, the title and the blurb go well with the story. The story is a simple one, devoid of any masala that is found in most of novels these days. It is the one which will remain in your mind for few days once you complete reading it. The story is plotted well and the incidents have been rightly placed. It is this correct placing that makes this book a smooth read. There aren't any chances of getting the reader confused at any point of time during the read. The characters in the story are many. The protagonist, Rinita is a lady of substance. She is mentally strong and fights each and every difficult situation with determination and patience. She is strong willed and doesn't give up easily. I believe every girl should have determination like that of Rinita. The other characters play a vital role in Rinita's life. Her friends are really supportive. The narration is in third person narrative. The simple narration and lucid language makes this book an engaging read. You will be hooked on to this book once you start reading it. Rinita's story will not let you live at peace. You will be craving to read it. Rinita makes a lot of sacrifices which gives her bad name. A virtuous girl will never let a stranger touch her. Rinita was helpless which made her take some decisions against her morale. I believe that it were these situations that made her what she was. I feel compassion for her. She is a real hero in my eyes.
