Interdimensional Gateways by Sa’ay – Book Review

interdimensional gateways, sa'ay book

Book Name – Interdimensional Gateways

Authors – Sa’ay

Publisher – Notion Press

Blurb

Our world has always been under the shadow of paranormal beings. Ever since the dawn of civilization, powerful races from different dimensions have been pulling the strings on humanity. Modern day science calls them aliens, whereas different religions identify them as either Gods or Demons. This war started eons ago in a period, now known as 'Satyuga, ' when an elite fighter race called 'Gandharva, ' responsible for guarding the dimensional Gateways were attacked by an unknown entity.

Adish and Savarnik are living a perfectly normal life in Delhi. But a simple act of helping a stranger during one of their road trips sets into motion a chain of events that pulls them into this simmering conflict. They are left fending for themselves as they encounter forces beyond their comprehension and find themselves as pawns of this cross-dimensional war.

The fate of not only their world but all 'worlds' hangs in the balance.

Only Gods can save them. But who will save the Gods?

Review

I am left spellbound by this book. The story has been beautifully crafted and narrated well. It is a real page turner.

The book name and the cover gives an overall idea about the story. The blurb is interesting. It creates curiosity in the minds of the readers. The attractive cover and engaging blurb will surely make you pick this book up.

If you are a fan of Harry Porter series, then I must say this novel will be a treat for you. It is about those forces in nature that are beyond human understanding. The story has been thoughtfully crafted. The authors end the book with a mystery. You will crave for the next book in this series. They have brought out the mystery very well. The story has been narrated in third person narrative. It is simple and engaging. The lucid language adds more to the reading experience. Generally, books of this kind have unique names which I find difficult to read. But, this book had simple names.

Reasons you should read this book-
  • -       Engaging story-line.
  • -       Good narration.
  • -       You will be forced to turn pages. It’s a real page turner.

I am eagerly waiting for the next book.

All that is unseen by Sahil Bhambri – Book Review

all that is unseen, sahil bhambri book

Book Name: All that is unseen

Author: Sahil Bhambri

Publisher: Invincible Publishers

Blurb:

All That Is Unseen, all that never really blossomed under the sky of truth. Embracing the voices coming from within and when these personalities started interlacing with each other, everything fades. The storm of facts started unfolding the time Nasia interceded for Arav's nightmare, for he didn't know whether what seems to be real is actually there or is an illusion from within his own mind, anymore. It's amusing that, how unreal the truth can become-how one feels about being unchained to fly but having short lived freedom- how one believes the seen but later encountered to be a game of betrayal, an elaborate set of unreal illusions that wheeled to destruction.

Review:

The title of this book is appealing and creates curiosity in the minds of the readers. All that is unseen – isn’t the title very interesting? The blurb gives you a faint idea about the story. It doesn’t get into details though.

The book starts with a mystery. As you start reading it, you find answers to the mystery and ultimately, end up falling prey to another one. Every page of this book presents you with a surprise. The story is about Arav and Nasia. The author has developed these two characters very thoughtfully. They complement each other. They fit in each other’s lives like the pieces of the puzzles.

Our mind is the biggest puzzle. Thoughts lead on to more thoughts and you never know when you are caught in the web of thoughts. Arav and Nasia are too a prey to these games that the mind plays. Will they be successful at solving the puzzles the mind? The story has been woven perfectly well. You will be amazed by the author’s storytelling skills. The lucid language along with the descriptive kind of narration makes this book an awesome read. The story is being narrated in third person narrative. However, I feel that had it been done in first person it would have created a better impact.

Reasons why you should read this book-
- A great storyline.
- Well-crafted characters
- Amazing narration
- Makes you realize that the biggest mystery on this earth is human mind itself

This book is a refreshing read.

I rate:
Cover: 3/5 stars.
Characters: 4/5
Story: 4/5

My overall rating for ‘All that is unseen’ is 4/5 stars.

Review:

I wasn't quite sure that I would complete reading this book so soon considering its length. I am amazed at the speed at which I completed reading this amazing book. The Lost Arcanum is as interesting as it's blurb. The cover gives a kick to your reading buds. It has been designed well.

I wouldn't go much into the details of the story. (I don't want my review to be a spoiler). The plot has been crafted well. The amazing characterization and lucid language makes this book an interesting read. The author has presented the book in an appreciable manner. The chapter ends with a twist and you will read it further to know more about it. Thus, you're hooked on to the book. The author keeps the mystery and suspense alive at the turn of each page. It is a perfect page-turner.

One Enduring Lesson by Jamal Merchant – Book Review

one enduring lesson, jamal merchant book

Book Name: One Enduring Lesson

Author: Jamal Merchant

Publisher: Rupa Publications

Blurb:

Give me your money, or I will kill you!’
‘Please…’ I gasped. ‘I’ve come from England to study!’
‘Well, let this be your first lesson, English boy…’

Eager to start a new phase in life, Rahul Saxena, 27, a half-Indian British citizen, recently out of job and rejected in love, lands in Mumbai from London to study filmmaking. But little does he know that Mumbai, the city of dreams, will turn his life inside out. From the dark corners of the streets as a professional rat killer to the vermin-infested confines of a jail, from shady dance clubs to the homes of Mumbai’s rich women where he is paid to provide pleasure—fate takes him on a roller-coaster ride that challenges his very will and determination to survive. When his secret life threatens to destroy even the love that he finds, Rahul seeks recourse in spirituality. Inspired by India’s synergetic religious traditions, Rahul fights back internal and external demons to write his own destiny.

One Enduring Lesson is a tale of the undying human spirit of survival against all odds.

Review:

One Enduring Lesson is a novel filled with friendship, love, anger, jealousy, helplessness and belief. It is a complete Bollywood movie package.

The story is about Rahul, a young man from London who dreams of making films. Film making is his passion and he wished to pursue it from a university in India. Initially, his parents do not approve Rahul’s intention of moving out of London. After numerous attempts of persuasion, they finally agree. Rahul lands up in Mumbai. Will Mumbai treat him good? Does Rahul succeed in following his passion? Who is Radium and how is he connected to Rahul?

The author has crafted this story perfectly well. Every single thing is paid attention to. The story turns a bit predictable towards the end. However, the curiosity about what would happen still exists. The book is a perfect page turner at the beginning. It is narrated in first person narrative and is just perfect. This realistic narration will make you feel like you have been conversing with the protagonist or like you have been watching a movie.

The characters aren’t many. It is Rahul’s parents, his friends and his love interest. I personally loved Rahul. The way he thinks and cares about his parents, his dedication towards his passion, the manner in which he faces the adversities…all are worth praising.

One Enduring Lesson is an all-in-one combo. It teaches you how to face adversities of life. It teaches you to follow your passion. Hard work, dedication and unshakeable faith in God certainly moves mountains. It proves that every cloud has a silver lining.

I rate:
Cover: 3/5
Characters: 4/5
Story: 3/5

My overall rating for ‘One Enduring Lesson’ is 4/5 stars.
